Delete your Calcendar account.
There are two steps, and you can stop after the first. Closing the account stops it at once. Erasing it removes everything for good.
1. Close the account in the app
- Open Calcendar and go to Settings, then Account.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm with your password, or with your email address if you sign in with Google.
The account is closed straight away: you are signed out on every device, no reminder or notice is sent to you again, and the email address is held for 30 days before it can be used for a new account. Your records are kept, so the account can be restored if you write to us and change your mind.
A staff account belongs to the practice that invited you. Ask that practice to remove your access instead.
2. Ask us to erase everything
Write to us at [email protected] from the address your account uses, or from the contact page, and say that you want the account erased. You do not need to close it in the app first.
We erase it within ten working days and write back to say it is done. Erasing cannot be undone.
What is erased
The account and everything your practice kept in it:
- your name, email address, phone number, password and sign-in details
- clients and patients, their records, notes, treatment plans, reports and questionnaires
- sessions, bookings and reminders
- payments, invoices, receipts and expenses
- photos and files you added
- staff invitations and the roles you gave them
What is kept, and for how long
- The short log of what the account did in the app (when it signed in and which kind of record changed, never what it said) is deleted on its own after 90 days.
- Copies inside our backups disappear as the backups age out and are replaced.
- A licence you paid for through Whish leaves a payment record with Whish, which Whish keeps under its own rules.
Deleting some data and keeping the account
You do not have to delete the account to remove part of it. In the app, any client, session, note, payment, photo or file can be deleted on its own from where it is shown, and that deletion is final. For anything you cannot remove yourself, write to us at the same address and we will remove it within ten working days.
